Would you like to Volunteer become a Precinct Leader or to help a campaign? The heart of our organization is the hard working volunteers who are elected as Republican precinct committeemen and committeewomen. Each Bay County precinct has at least one committeeman and committeewoman, some of the larger precincts can have up to three of each. As a precinct leader, your job is organize the precinct and make sure the voters are aware of the Republican platform and our candidates for office. We also work to make sure voters turn out on election day and coordinate voter drive activities with the state and national Republican organizations. What does that mean for you? It means we need your help to get Conservative Republicans elected. Your time is valuable and if you will help us, we promise to make this fun and worth your while. The fellowship of like minded citizens engaged in making our voices heard in pursuit of principled self-government will make you glad you volunteered to help. What can you do? - Become a Precinct Committeeman or Committeewoman: As a committeeperson you officially represent the Republican Party in your precinct and are a member of the Bay County Republican Executive Committee. You are registered with the Bay County Supervisor of Elections and the Republican Party of Florida as an official. Your job is to organize your precinct and work with other precinct leaders to get your voters registered as Republicans and to make sure they vote on election day for our Republican candidates. We provide the training and everything you need to succeed. - Be a Ward Captain: Organize neighborhood captains in your area for events and voter education. Work with the precinct leaders to develop a get-out-the-vote plan in your area for the primary and general elections. - Be a neighborhood captain: Organize your neighbors by going door-to-door and educating them on the issues and why they should vote for conservative Republicans. The Ward captain or precinct leaders can provide walking lists of voters in your neighborhood. - Poll duty: Waive signs near the polls to encourage arriving undecided voters to vote Republican on election day or be a Republican Poll watcher to ensure voting procedures are followed. - Yard signs: You can help by placing Republican candidate signs in your yard or at your business. You can also help by planting signs at various corners and roadsides around Bay County. - Sign Waves: You can organize a sign wave party with your friends. In addition to good fellowship, you will have a great time in the fresh air. It only takes an hour or two, so pick a busy intersection and have fun. - Meet & Greet: If you want a BCREC member to speak to a group or organization, let us know. We can also set up an information booth for events to help get our message out. You can also do a block party and invite all your neighbors or do a meet & greet party at your home.
